2. What this website does
This website presents Villa D' Republic Dubrovnik and directs guests to check availability and book through our booking partner (Naxion Channel Manager). There is no separate newsletter signup form on this website at present.
Guest-facing email on the site (drepublicdubrovnik@gmail.com) is used for general villa communication. Legal and privacy requests should use nino.dubretic@gmail.com.
3. Personal data we may process
Depending on how you contact us or book, data may include: name, email, telephone, country, arrival and departure dates, number of guests (adults/children), booking details, messages you send, billing or payment transaction information processed by the booking/payment partner, and technical data such as IP address or device information where generated by hosting or third-party embeds.
When you book via Naxion, that partner processes booking and payment data under its own systems and notices, in addition to this controller relationship for the accommodation service.
4. Purposes of processing
Personal information may be processed to: respond to enquiries; check availability; prepare an offer; process a booking request; confirm a reservation; communicate before arrival; organise check-in and arrival instructions; provide accommodation and guest support; process payments and refunds; issue invoices; fulfil guest registration and other legal obligations; respond to complaints; and comply with accounting, tax and other legal duties.
5. Legal bases
We do not rely on marketing consent as the default basis for information needed to answer an enquiry, check availability, prepare an offer, make a reservation, or provide accommodation.
Depending on the purpose, processing may be based on: steps at your request prior to entering a contract; performance of the accommodation contract; compliance with a legal obligation; legitimate interests (for example securing the website or responding to general correspondence), where applicable; and consent only where consent is actually required (for example optional marketing, if introduced later).
6. Recipients and transfers
Data may be shared with: our booking partner (Naxion); payment processors engaged through that partner; hosting and email providers; professional advisers; and public authorities where required by law.
Embedded services such as Google Maps (location pages) and font delivery (Fontshare) may receive technical data when those resources load. See the cookies section below.
7. Retention
Data are kept only as long as needed for the purposes above, including statutory retention for invoices and guest records, and then deleted or anonymised where practicable.
8. Your rights
Subject to applicable law (including GDPR), you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection to certain processing, and you may lodge a complaint with the Croatian Personal Data Protection Agency (AZOP).
